Triumph Speed T4 Gets a Rs 18,000 Price Cut

Triumph Speed T4

Triumph Motorcycles India has announced a year-end discount on its entry-level motorcycle, the Speed T4. The bike is now available at a reduced price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom), a decrease of Rs 18,000 from its previous price of Rs 2.17 lakh. This offer is valid until stocks last.

The price reduction could be attributed to lower-than-expected sales for the Speed T4. While Triumph aimed to boost the combined sales of its 400cc motorcycles to 10,000 units per month, the actual sales figures have been hovering around 3,000-4,000 units until October 2024. This trend is also reflected in the recent offer on the Scrambler 400X, which is now available with free accessories worth Rs 12,000.

To keep costs down, the Speed T4 features a more basic specification compared to the Speed 400. It uses bias-ply tires, conventional telescopic forks, and lacks traction control. However, it retains the same 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, albeit with slightly lower power and torque figures. The engine produces 30.6 bhp and 36 Nm of torque, with 85% of the torque available from 2500 rpm.
