Ather Energy, a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India, has announced plans to increase the prices of its entire scooter lineup from January 2025. This price adjustment, affecting models like the Rizta and the 450 series, is expected to range around Rs. 5,000 per unit, with the exact increase varying depending on the specific model. This move aligns with a broader industry trend, as several manufacturers are implementing price hikes in the new year to offset rising input costs.
Ather’s current lineup encompasses four distinct electric scooter models, each further differentiated by various variants. The Rizta, designed for a more family-oriented audience, offers two battery options: a 2.9kWh unit in the S variant starting at Rs. 1.37 lakh, and a larger 3.7kWh battery in the Z variant priced at Rs. 1.64 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). Customers can enhance the ownership experience by opting for the optional Pro Pack, which includes a suite of benefits such as extended warranty and roadside assistance.

The 450X, available in 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery options priced at Rs. 1.61 lakh and Rs. 1.69 lakh respectively, offers a step up in performance and features. Both the 450S and 450X can be further enhanced with the optional Pro Pack. At the pinnacle of the lineup sits the 450 Apex, distinguished by its transparent side panels and available in a single variant priced at Rs. 1.95 lakh.
