Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has officially entered the Indian electric two-wheeler market with the launch of its first electric scooter, the QC1. This sleek and minimalist scooter boasts a clean design with large body panels and an apron-mounted LED headlight. It comes in five attractive color options: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Nightstar Black, and Matte Foggy Silver Metallic.
The QC1 is powered by a 1.5kWh fixed battery pack that delivers a range of 80 kilometers on a single charge and a top speed of 50 kilometers per hour. The battery can be fully charged in 4.5 hours. The scooter offers two riding modes: Econ and Standard, allowing riders to optimize range and performance.
In terms of features, the QC1 is equipped with all-LED lighting, a 5-inch LCD instrument cluster, a USB Type-C charging port, and a spacious 26-liter storage compartment. It rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear springs, ensuring a comfortable ride. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes at both ends, with 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels.
While the exact pricing details for the QC1 are yet to be announced, Honda plans to reveal the prices in January 2024, with deliveries commencing in February 2024.
