This feature-packed scooter promises affordability and segment-first innovations, making it a compelling option in the growing EV market.

Designed and Made in India

True to the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative, the Ampere Nexus is proudly designed, developed, and manufactured within the country. It boasts several first-in-segment features and has undergone rigorous testing across diverse terrains. The Nexus even holds four national records, including an expedition from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

High-Performance for the Family

Replacing the Primus as the company’s flagship model, the Ampere Nexus is a high-performance family scooter available in two variants: the Nexus EX and Nexus ST. The base EX starts at an attractive introductory price of Rs 1,09,900 (ex-showroom), while the top-spec ST is priced at Rs 1,19,900 (ex-showroom). These introductory prices will increase by Rs 10,000 after the initial offer period. The Nexus comes in four stylish color options: Zanskar Aqua, Red, Lunar White, and Steel Grey. Bookings are now open online for Rs 9,900, with test rides commencing in the second half of May.

Impressive Dimensions and Features

The Ampere Nexus offers a comfortable ride with a 1,319mm wheelbase, 170mm ground clearance, and a spacious 235mm floorboard. The 712mm long seat sits at a convenient 765mm height. Both variants come with LED lighting, while the ST boasts a 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The EX variant features a 6.2-inch LCD screen. Additional features include a hybrid swing arm with twin suspension, quick boot time enabled by Nex.IO, and a 4x stronger chassis with a load-stratified design using Nex.Armor technology.

Powerful Battery and Long Range

The Ampere Nexus is powered by a robust 3 kWh LFP battery pack with a mid-mounted permanent magnet motor. This combination delivers a 3.3 kW nominal output and a peak output of 4 kW. The scooter offers four ride modes: Eco, City, Power, and Limp Home, along with a reverse mode. The top speed is an impressive 93 km/h, while City mode offers a comfortable 63 km/h. In Eco mode, the Nexus delivers a certified range of 136 km. Additionally, the LFP battery chemistry boasts a 1.3 times longer cycle life and a faster charging time of just 3.22 hours.

Record-Breaking Performance

The Ampere Nexus has already made its mark with several record-breaking achievements. It entered the India Book of Records for the longest electric scooter ride across 10,000 km, a first-ever feat in a single journey. It also set a record for traversing through 115 cities and towns in a single ride.

Further solidifying its capabilities, the Nexus became the first electric scooter to tow a pickup truck weighing 1860 kgs plus two passengers, covering a distance of 2 km. It also holds the record for creating the largest electric scooter brand logo on white sand, measuring a staggering 179.8ft x 95.2ft, achieved at the Dholavira in Kutch Desert Wildlife Sanctuary.

The Ampere Nexus arrives as a strong contender in the Indian electric scooter market. Its focus on high performance, affordability, and innovative features makes it an attractive option for families seeking a reliable and eco-friendly mode of transportation. With its impressive range, powerful battery, and feature-rich design, the Ampere Nexus is poised to redefine electric mobility in India.
