Tata Motors is all set to disrupt the compact SUV segment once again with its upcoming coupe SUV, the Curvv. Scheduled for launch on August 7, 2024, the Curvv will be available in both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) variants. This highly anticipated model is set to take on the likes of Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

After several teasers and a reveal of the production-ready design, Tata has now shared a thrilling video showcasing the Curvv conquering the challenging Sandakphu peak. This feat highlights the SUV’s capabilities and hints at its robust nature.

Designed to captivate, the Curvv boasts a striking coupe-like silhouette with a sloping roofline that differentiates it from the traditional boxy SUVs. The vehicle’s rear end features a distinctive LED light bar that spans the width of the car, while the front showcases a bold design language inspired by the popular Nexon. Stylish 5-spoke turbine-style alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof further enhance its appeal.

Inside, the Curvv is expected to share similarities with the Nexon, offering a familiar yet modern cabin. Key features include a 10.24-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a steering wheel carried over from the Nexon. Silver accents add a touch of sophistication to the interior.

The video showcasing the Curvv’s ascent of Sandakphu, a notoriously challenging terrain, is a testament to the SUV’s potential. While the ICE variants will offer both diesel and petrol engine options, including a new 1.2L T-Gdi turbo petrol, the electric version will be front-wheel-driven. The video clearly demonstrates the limitations of front-wheel drive on such steep inclines.

With its launch imminent, the Tata Curvv is generating significant buzz in the automotive industry. Its combination of stylish design, advanced features, and potential off-road capabilities positions it as a strong contender in the highly competitive compact SUV segment.
