Genesis Unveils GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle

Genesis GV60 MIV

Following the recent unveiling of a special off-road-focused GV80 at the Dakar Rally, Genesis continues to push the boundaries of its electric vehicle capabilities with the introduction of the GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle Concept. Showcased at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, this unique creation transforms the road-going GV60 into a formidable snow-conquering machine.

The most striking feature of this concept is the replacement of the standard wheels with massive snow tracks, necessitating significant modifications to the suspension system. Complementing this rugged transformation are carbon fiber fender flares, skid plates at both ends, and a custom roof rack equipped with a powerful light bar. To further enhance its off-road presence, Genesis has integrated new driving lamps into the front grille.

Inside, the cabin has been reimagined with the addition of specialized sport seats and an array of essential equipment for mountain rescues, including medical supplies and advanced communication systems.

While the practicality of an electric vehicle in remote, snowy environments may seem questionable, the GV60’s vehicle-to-load capability could prove valuable in powering auxiliary devices.

This latest concept follows the X Snow Speedium Concept unveiled at the World Economic Forum last year, demonstrating Genesis’s commitment to exploring the diverse possibilities of its electric vehicle platform and showcasing its innovative spirit.
