Royal Enfield’s limited-edition Shotgun 650 Icon, a collaboration with US-based Icon Motorsports, sold out almost instantly after going on sale on February 12th. The global allocation of just 100 units, with only 25 earmarked for India, disappeared within seconds. Priced at ₹4.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the Icon Edition commanded a ₹65,000 premium over the standard model. Prospective buyers who missed out were greeted with a message confirming the sale’s swift conclusion.
This special edition draws inspiration from the “Always Something” custom bike previously showcased at EICMA 2024 and Motoverse 2024. While maintaining the standard Shotgun 650’s core architecture, the Icon Edition distinguishes itself with a striking three-tone racing-inspired livery. The front cowl sports a light blue and white finish, while the fuel tank blends light blue, red, and white. The number ’24’ adorns the side panels, and the rear fender features red, white, and the Icon logo. Other visual highlights include gold contrast-cut wheels, a red seat, blue rear springs, and bar-end mirrors.

Adding to the exclusivity, each motorcycle comes with a Slabtown Intercept RE jacket designed by Icon Motorsports. The jacket combines suede and textile materials, incorporating leather appliqués and embroidery.
Mechanically, the Shotgun 650 Icon Edition mirrors the standard model, utilizing the same 648 cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine producing 46.6 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque. The suspension setup also remains unchanged, with upside-down Showa Separate Function Big Piston Forks at the front and Showa twin shocks at the rear.

According to Adrian Sellers, Head of Custom & Motorsport at Royal Enfield, this collaboration with Icon Motorsports highlights the customization potential of the Shotgun 650, celebrating the art of custom bike building and pushing the boundaries of what’s achievable with Royal Enfield motorcycles.
