Kia is poised to unveil its highly anticipated all-electric EV4 on February 27th at its EV Day event in Spain. However, the company has offered a sneak peek, revealing the car’s final design ahead of the official launch. The EV4, available in both sedan and hatchback configurations, joins Kia’s expanding EV lineup and, true to form, boasts a distinctive and eye-catching design that closely mirrors the original concept.
Both the sedan and hatchback versions share the same front-end styling. This includes vertically oriented headlights and LED daytime running lights, along with a blacked-out lower grille area.
The sedan’s side profile is particularly striking. Kia’s designers appear to have drawn inspiration from classic supercars, incorporating a “long tail” design characterized by a gently sloping rear window and an extended rear overhang. Combined with a glass roof and thick black C-pillars, the EV4 sedan has a unique silhouette unlike any other Kia model.

The sedan and hatchback versions of the EV4 have several differentiating features. The sedan sports vertical taillights reminiscent of the headlights, while the hatchback features a more stylish set of LED taillights and a light bar. The hatchback also departs from the sedan’s long-tail design, opting for a more conventional and arguably more appealing rear end. It has a different pillar design, a smaller, more upright rear window, and a rooftop spoiler.

Both body styles will also be offered in a sporty GT-Line trim. This version includes unique 19-inch wheels and more aggressively styled front and rear bumpers. Kia has yet to release interior images, but the EV4 is expected to feature a similar layout to other Kia EVs, with a single widescreen panel integrating the infotainment display and digital instrument cluster.

“The Kia EV4 is a clear reflection of our commitment to rethink mobility and expand the boundaries of what design can achieve,” said Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design. “By offering both saloon and hatchback variants, we are bringing to our customers the unique experience of modernity and practicality that defines the Kia EV family, in a way that suits their varied lifestyles and needs.”
