Applied EV has unveiled its latest innovation, the Blanc Robot, a fully autonomous vehicle designed to address global driver shortages and streamline industrial operations. This unique vehicle, manufactured without a traditional cabin, offers a versatile table-top chassis that can be configured for various tasks in last-mile logistics and industrial settings.
The first 100 Blanc Robot vehicles are nearing completion, with body structures provided by Suzuki Motor Corporation. This strategic partnership leverages Suzuki’s Jimny platform, significantly reducing production costs and enabling large-scale production. By operating autonomously, Blanc Robots can work multiple shifts, boosting productivity and reducing carbon emissions.
The Blanc Robot is a software-defined machine, built on a robust safety-rated architecture. Its software-controlled functions include three key APIs: Applied EV Drive API for autonomous driving, Applied EV App Space API for non-driving vehicle functions, and Applied EV Cloud API for secure data and diagnostics.
The autonomous vehicle industry is on the brink of a major breakthrough. Advancements in technology and growing public acceptance have paved the way for the widespread adoption of autonomous vehicles. Applied EV is leading the charge with its safety-rated and mass-producible Blanc Robot, offering a practical solution to real-world challenges.
Through its collaboration with Suzuki Motor Corporation, Applied EV is making significant strides in the development and commercialization of non-passenger autonomous vehicles. The 6th Generation Blanc Robot represents a pivotal moment in the evolution of autonomous technology.
“The demand for autonomous vehicle fleets that integrate seamlessly into both emerging logistics companies and established enterprises has never been stronger. While transportation businesses are eager to adopt cutting-edge technologies, they require complete, real and actual ‘solutions’ to drive meaningful implementation at scale. Applied EV, in collaboration with our partners, has addressed this challenge with a turnkey solution. Powered by software, our vehicles come in a range of sizes and can be tailored for unique autonomous driving applications. The Blanc Robot marks the first purpose-built autonomous vehicle released for scale, produced by Suzuki and running on Applied EV software. The first 100 production units are underway in Australia, with the capacity to scale to tens of thousands to meet demand.” – Applied EV’s CEO, Julian Broadbent.
