Hyundai has introduced several updates for the 2025 Ioniq 5 N, enhancing its functionality and appeal. While the model retains its striking design and powerful performance, the software-derived improvements and added features make it even more desirable for driving enthusiasts.

Refined Drift Optimizer

One of the key updates for the 2025 Ioniq 5 N is the enhanced “N Drift Optimizer” system. This system now offers 10 selectable stages of drift assistance, catering to drivers of varying skill levels. Hyundai has improved the system’s ability to monitor and judge drift conditions, resulting in more effective and enjoyable drifting experiences.

The “Pro” stage, designed for track use, minimizes the impact of Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and linearly adjusts torque, allowing for more freedom in drifting. However, it’s important to note that this feature should only be used on closed circuits.

Expanded N e-Shift Functionality

The “N e-Shift” function, which simulates virtual gear shifts, has been extended to the Eco mode. Previously available in Normal, Sport, and N modes, this feature now offers a more engaging driving experience in all modes. Additionally, the N e-Shift has gained “downshift memory” and “downhill assist” functions, providing a more intuitive and responsive driving experience.

Unmatched Performance

The Ioniq 5 N continues to offer exceptional performance, thanks to its dual electric motor setup. With the N Grin Boost activated, the vehicle generates a staggering 641 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque. The larger 84 kWh battery pack, which was recently added to the facelifted Ioniq 5 lineup, ensures ample range and power.
