MG Motor India is gearing up to launch new products in the Indian market with its MG 2.0 strategy. The company recently hinted at the launch of its third electric car, the Cloud EV. Furthermore, new spy images of the upcoming MG Gloster have also surfaced, and it is expected to launch soon.
The facelifted MG Gloster is a revamped version of the globally updated LDV D90/Maxus D90 and will soon debut in India. The updated MG Gloster receives major design updates along with mild interior revisions.
Design and dimensions:
The side profile of the facelifted MG Gloster was seen with the same alloy wheels as the existing version. However, a new series of alloys are expected at launch. At the rear, the full-size SUV gets updated LED taillights connected by a light bar.
Equipment and interior design:
The interior of the 2024 MG Gloster facelift is expected to feature a large touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, digital instrument cluster, ventilated and powered front seats, wireless charging, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and a panoramic sunroof. It will also have an ADAS Level 2 suite.
Engine and performance:
MG is likely to retain the existing powertrain in the updated Gloster. The flagship SUV will continue to be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. This engine will be available in two versions – turbo and biturbo – and will produce a maximum power of 213 HP and a maximum torque of 478 Nm.
