The wait is finally over. After months of speculation fueled by spy photos of prototypes in Europe, the production-ready Aprilia Tuono 457 has been spotted on Indian roads. Aprilia India has officially confirmed the launch date as February 17, 2025, with a media ride planned for the following day.
The Tuono 457 is the naked streetfighter sibling of the fully-faired Aprilia RS 457. Stripped of the RS 457’s fairings, the Tuono sports a minimalist, aggressive look, complemented by an upright riding position thanks to a single-piece handlebar instead of clip-ons. It will be available in two color schemes: White/Silver and Red/Black.
Powering the Tuono 457 is the same 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine found in the RS 457. This engine delivers 47.55PS and 43.5Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. While the engine architecture remains the same, Aprilia may have tweaked the sprocket sizes and engine tuning to better suit the Tuono’s street and city riding focus.

The Tuono 457 rides on an inverted fork and a monoshock, both adjustable for preload. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS. The Tuono shares its chassis with the RS 457.

In terms of features, the Tuono 457 boasts a 5-inch TFT color display with Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone integration, including call and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Rider aids include three riding modes (Eco, Sport, and Rain), along with switchable traction control and ABS.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 is anticipated to be priced around Rs 4 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will enter a competitive segment, going head-to-head with rivals like the KTM 390 Duke and the Yamaha MT-03.
