MG Motor India has unveiled the specifications of its highly anticipated Cyberster electric sports car, slated to debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo next month. This exclusive model, destined for the brand’s premium MG Select showrooms, will boast a powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive system.
Performance & Powertrain:
The Cyberster packs a potent punch with a combined output of 510 bhp and 725 Nm of torque from its dual-motor setup. This translates to an exhilarating 0-100 kmph sprint time of just 3.2 seconds, placing it alongside high-performance sports cars from renowned European brands.
Powering this electric beast is a 77 kWh battery pack, promising an impressive claimed range of 510 km. Notably, MG claims this battery pack is one of the slimmest in its class, contributing to the car’s sleek profile. The chassis features a robust double wishbone suspension in the front and an independent five-link setup at the rear, ensuring a dynamic and engaging driving experience.
Luxurious Features & Cutting-Edge Technology:
The Cyberster will arrive fully loaded with premium features, including a retractable hardtop roof, dual digital screens for a modern and intuitive user experience, climate control, and advanced connected car technology. A standout feature is the inclusion of scissor doors equipped with integrated radars for enhanced safety during opening and closing.
Premium Positioning & Future Plans:
Positioned as a flagship model, the Cyberster is expected to command a premium price tag in the range of Rs. 60 lakh to Rs. 70 lakh, marking a significant shift for MG Motor India. This strategic move signifies the launch of MG Select, the brand’s dedicated premium channel. Following the Cyberster’s debut, MG plans to introduce the Mifa-9 MPV by the end of the current financial year, further expanding its premium offerings.
