MG Windsor EV Dominates Sales, Outselling Entire MG Lineup in November

MG Windsor EV

MG Motor India witnessed a significant sales surge in November, driven entirely by the strong performance of its recently launched Windsor EV. This premium electric hatchback/crossover has garnered significant market attention since its September debut, particularly due to its innovative battery rental service and competitive pricing.

With over 3,100 units sold in November, the Windsor EV not only outsold every other MG model but also surpassed key rivals like the Mahindra XUV400, Citroen eC3, and the MG ZS EV in sales figures. Notably, the next best-selling MG model in November was the Hector, with 1,106 units sold.

The Windsor EV is available in three variants, priced between Rs. 13.50 lakh and Rs. 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom + battery cost). However, customers can significantly reduce the upfront investment by opting for the innovative Battery as a Service (BAAS) scheme. This option brings the entry-level variant’s price down to Rs. 10 lakh, with a per-kilometer battery rental cost of Rs. 3.5.

The success of the Windsor EV can be attributed to its compelling package, offering a premium interior with an abundance of features, a spacious and practical cabin, competitive performance and range, and a highly attractive value proposition.
