The Grand Tour Continues: New Hosts Take Over Amazon Prime Show

The Grand Tour is coming to an end, or so we thought. While the iconic trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May will no longer host the show, the Amazon Prime series will continue with new presenters.

Richard Hammond himself confirmed the news during an interview, revealing that the show will be carried on by a new team of hosts. Although he doesn’t know who will be chosen to fill their shoes, Hammond emphasized the importance of having car enthusiasts at the helm.

“It will be carrying on,” Hammond said. “The Grand Tour continues. We’re stepping away as the hosts, but Prime will be continuing it. So I can’t wait to sit on my own chair and watch somebody else do it. That’s amazing.”

He further highlighted the passion and enthusiasm that the original hosts brought to the show, stating, “If you’re making any show that at its heart has a subject, whether it’s cooking, dancing or cars, the hosts, the primary makers of it, have to have that passion in their heart. And we always did.”  

While Hammond and his co-hosts are stepping away from the show, they remain open to offering guidance or advice to the new presenters. However, they ultimately believe that it’s up to the new team to shape the future of The Grand Tour.

“That’s for people who are making it to decide,” Hammond said. “We’ll always be on hand to talk if they want to talk to us, absolutely. But it’s not for us to shape it anymore. We’re stepping away. We made the show that we made. That show was what you get if you put us forward together and the brilliant team around us. But there’ll be a different team doing a different show, and they’ll devise the show that fits them.”

As the final episode of The Grand Tour with Clarkson, Hammond, and May approaches, fans are eager to see what the future holds for the beloved series. With new presenters and a fresh perspective, The Grand Tour is poised to continue its legacy of thrilling adventures and automotive enthusiasm.
