Ola Electric has expanded its electric scooter lineup with the launch of the new S1Z, priced at ₹59,999 (ex-showroom) and the S1Z+, priced at ₹64,999 (ex-showroom). The S1Z joins the existing S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1X models. Deliveries for the S1Z are scheduled to commence in May 2025. Additionally, Ola has introduced its first commercial electric scooter, the Ola Gig.
The S1Z sports a fresh, boxy design language, differentiating it from the other S1 models. The S1Z+ variant further enhances the look with additional accessories like a luggage rack, pillion footrest, and a visor. Both models feature an LCD display that can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
Powering the S1Z are two 1.5 kWh battery packs. The unique feature is that the scooter can operate with just one battery pack, offering a range of 75 km. With both batteries, the range extends to 146 km. This makes the S1Z one of the most affordable electric two-wheelers in India.
The S1Z is equipped with a hub-mounted motor that generates 3 kW of power, enabling a top speed of 70 kmph and a 0-40 kmph acceleration time of 4.7 seconds. The scooter rides on 14-inch wheels, while other technical specifications have not been disclosed by the manufacturer.
