Honda has once again teased its highly anticipated electric scooter, the Activa Electric. This time, the company has partially unveiled the electric motor that will power the scooter. While specific details about the motor’s specifications remain undisclosed, its conventional placement next to the rear wheel suggests performance comparable to the petrol-powered Activa 110.
The teaser also provides a glimpse of the scooter’s design elements, including the monoshock suspension and single-piece seat.
The Honda Activa Electric is poised to be a significant launch for the Japanese automaker. Positioned as an urban commuter, the scooter is expected to offer a range of around 100 kilometers and a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour.
Upon its launch, the Activa Electric will compete with other popular electric scooters in the market, such as the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ather 450X, and Ola S1 series.
