Kia India has announced impressive initial demand for its uniquely styled compact SUV, the Syros. Since opening bookings in early January, the company has received over 5,500 orders within just one month.
The Syros is available in six trim levels, with prices starting at Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom). A panoramic sunroof is offered from the third variant upwards, while the top-tier model includes Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), commanding an Rs. 80,000 premium over the base price.
The Syros offers two engine choices: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Transmission options vary depending on the engine and trim level, and include a six-speed manual, a seven-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission), and a six-speed automatic torque converter.
Now that pricing for the Kia Syros has been officially announced, it remains to be seen whether this distinctive compact SUV will impact sales of its stablemate, the Kia Sonet, given their similar price points.
