Additional convenience features include a USB-C charging port, a key fob, and 12-inch alloy wheels.

The CUV e has a seat height of 765 mm, a wheelbase of 1,311 mm, and a ground clearance of 270 mm. Weighing 118 kg, it is designed for easy city commuting and includes a reverse mode for maneuvering in tight spaces.

Power and Performance

The CUV e offers three riding modes: Standard, Sport, and Econ. It is powered by dual removable 1.3 kWh battery packs, providing a range of up to 70 km per full charge, depending on the selected mode. Each battery can be charged from 0-75% in approximately 3 hours. The scooter delivers a peak power output of 6 kW and a top speed of 80 km/h.

Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is ensured by a 190 mm front disc brake and a 110 mm rear drum brake.

Launch Event in Bangalore and Battery Sharing Infrastructure

The Honda Activa Electric is scheduled to be unveiled on November 27, 2024, in Bangalore. This strategic choice of location emphasizes Honda’s focus on battery-swapping technology, as Bangalore is home to Honda Power Pack Energy India Private Limited, Honda’s battery-sharing service subsidiary. This strongly suggests that the Activa Electric will feature swappable batteries, offering users the convenience of quick and easy range extension without lengthy charging times.

The CUV e, along with the ICON e, showcased at the 2024 EICMA Show, represents Honda’s commitment to electric mobility. As part of its plan to introduce 30 electric vehicles globally by 2030, Honda aims to establish itself as a leader in the electric vehicle market.
