Tata Motors is gearing up for a grand showcase at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, scheduled for January. The auto giant plans to unveil an impressive lineup of vehicles spanning internal combustion engine (ICE) models and electric vehicles (EVs). These launches underline Tata’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and strengthening its market leadership. Here’s a detailed look at the vehicles expected to debut at the Tata Motors pavilion.
Tata Sierra EV: A Legendary Comeback
The iconic Tata Sierra is making a highly anticipated return, available in both ICE and EV versions. The EV variant is expected to feature a robust 60-80 kWh battery pack, offering a range exceeding 500 km. Meanwhile, the ICE version might include a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine (170 PS, 280 Nm) and potentially a 2.0-litre diesel engine already seen in other Tata SUVs. The production-ready Sierra is set to be unveiled at the event.
Tata Harrier EV: A Powerful Electric SUV
Joining the Sierra is the Tata Harrier EV, set to make its debut with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system for enhanced performance. Entry-level models might include a single-motor version to cater to a wider audience. While battery details remain under wraps, the Harrier EV is expected to deliver a range of 450-550 km. Its design will closely resemble the current Harrier, with EV-specific enhancements.
Tata Safari EV: Family-Friendly Electrification
Tata’s electrification journey continues with the Safari EV, expected to debut in February 2025. Featuring six- and seven-seat configurations, the Safari EV will share its powertrain and battery options with the Harrier EV. This model will blend practicality with eco-conscious performance, maintaining its signature design while incorporating EV-specific updates.
Tata Harrier Petrol: Broadening the Lineup
Tata Motors is also introducing a petrol-powered Harrier. Equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 170 PS and 280 Nm, this variant will be available with manual and dual-clutch automatic transmission options. The petrol Harrier aims to provide a more affordable entry point for buyers, enhancing its appeal in the market.
Facelifted Tata Punch: A Compact SUV Refresh
The Tata Punch is set for a mid-cycle facelift in late 2025, but the updated model will be showcased at the Expo. It will feature revamped exteriors, updated interiors, and added features while retaining its 1.2-litre petrol engine (88 PS, 115 Nm). These updates aim to keep the Punch competitive in the growing compact SUV market.
Facelifted Tata Tiago and Tigor
Tata is also refreshing its Tiago hatchback and Tigor sedan. The updated models, debuting at the Expo, will include design tweaks, interior upgrades, and additional features to maintain their edge against competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze. Their EV counterparts, the Tiago EV and Tigor EV, will receive similar updates, bolstering Tata’s dominance in the EV space.
Tata Altroz EV: A Step Forward in Hatchback Electrification
The Tata Altroz EV is another eagerly awaited launch. Retaining its concept design cues, the production-ready version will include a closed grille, unique headlamps, and redesigned alloy wheels. With a range of 250–300 km, thanks to Tata’s Ziptron technology, the Altroz EV promises a perfect blend of style and performance.
Tata Avinya: A Glimpse into the Future
The Tata Avinya concept is expected to make waves at the Expo. Built on the Born Electric Gen-3 platform, this premium EV will showcase cutting-edge features such as advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), ultra-fast charging, and over-the-air updates. The Avinya lineup will set the tone for Tata’s premium EV strategy, offering a range exceeding 500 km.
Tata Motors’ showcase at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is set to redefine automotive innovation, combining traditional engineering excellence with futuristic electrification.
