Triumph Motorcycles has revitalized its popular Speed Twin 900 in the Indian market, introducing a refreshed version of this iconic neo-retro motorcycle. While retaining its core identity and celebrated ride quality, the updated Speed Twin 900 boasts a host of visual and technological enhancements.

The classic retro aesthetics remain, but with subtle yet significant refinements. The fuel tank has been sculpted for a sleeker profile, complementing the redesigned rear frame and seat. A new aluminum swingarm and subtly reshaped engine cases further enhance the motorcycle’s visual appeal. The headlight design has also been refreshed, featuring a sharper cover and integrated throttle body shrouds.

Underpinning the Speed Twin 900 is a revised suspension setup, featuring premium Marzocchi USD forks replacing the previous generation’s gaitered telescopic units. The rear shock absorbers are also sourced from Marzocchi, ensuring a balanced and comfortable ride. Braking performance is bolstered by axial Brembo calipers gripping 320mm front discs, providing confident stopping power. The motorcycle rolls on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, shod with Michelin Road Classic tires for excellent grip and handling.

Technology has taken a leap forward with the introduction of a new LCD main display and a smaller, full-color TFT display nestled within a sleek monopod. This integrated unit also houses a convenient USB-C socket for charging devices. Optional extras like heated grips and Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone integration further enhance rider comfort and convenience. The Speed Twin 900 offers two riding modes – Road and Rain – along with traction control and cornering ABS for enhanced safety and rider confidence.

The heart of the Speed Twin 900 remains its potent 900cc parallel-twin engine, delivering a smooth and exhilarating 65 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and a substantial 80 Nm of torque at 3,800 rpm. This engine is paired with a slick-shifting 5-speed gearbox, ensuring effortless power delivery and a thrilling riding experience.

The updated Triumph Speed Twin 900 is available in India at a starting price of Rs 8.89 lakh (ex-showroom), offering a compelling blend of classic style, modern technology, and engaging performance for discerning riders.
