Fiat Argo Endurance: A Rugged Small Hatchback for Brazil

Fiat Argo Endurance

Fiat has expanded its Argo lineup in Brazil with the introduction of the new Endurance trim level. Designed to cater to agricultural and rural needs, the Argo Endurance combines a rugged exterior with a practical interior, making it a compelling option for those seeking a versatile and affordable vehicle.

Off-Road Capability

The Argo Endurance stands out with its raised suspension and grippy all-terrain tires. These modifications allow it to tackle light off-road terrain with ease, making it a suitable choice for farmers, ranchers, and other individuals who require a vehicle that can handle various driving conditions.

Impressive Ground Clearance

With a ground clearance of 186 mm (7.3 inches), the Argo Endurance offers better off-road performance than many small SUVs. Its approach angle of 20.5º and departure angle of 33º ensure that it can navigate challenging terrain without scraping the underbody.

Reliable Powertrain

Under the hood, the Argo Endurance is equipped with the familiar 1.3-liter Firefly Flex engine. This versatile powertrain can run on both gasoline and ethanol, providing flexibility and convenience for Brazilian drivers. The engine delivers a respectable 106 hp and 99 lb-ft of torque, ensuring adequate performance for daily use and light off-roading.

Basic Yet Functional Interior

The interior of the Argo Endurance reflects its utilitarian nature. While it may not be as luxurious as some other models, it offers all the essentials for practical use. Standard features include a 3.5-inch trip computer, air conditioning, front electric windows, remote locks, and an anti-theft alarm. For those seeking additional amenities, the optional Comfort Pack adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a USB charging port, fog lights, and parking sensors.

Competitive Pricing

The Fiat Argo Endurance is priced competitively at R$ 79,990 ($14,545), making it the most affordable version of the Argo with the 1.3-liter powertrain. This pricing positions the Endurance as a direct rival to the Volkswagen Polo Robust, another rugged small hatchback aimed at the agricultural market.

Expanding the Argo Lineup

The Argo Endurance joins the growing lineup of Endurance models from Fiat. Following the success of the Strada and Toro pickups in Endurance trim, the Argo Endurance further solidifies Fiat’s position as a provider of practical and affordable vehicles for various needs.

A Versatile Choice

The Fiat Argo Endurance offers a compelling combination of ruggedness, practicality, and affordability. With its off-road capabilities, reliable powertrain, and competitive pricing, it is well-suited for those who require a versatile vehicle for agricultural use or daily commuting.
