Royal Enfield has provided a clearer timeline for the launch of its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6. During Eicher Motors Limited’s Q3 FY2025 earnings call, CEO B Govindarajan confirmed that the electric bike is expected to hit the market around the first quarter of 2026.

This aligns with the initial announcement made in November 2024, which targeted a Spring 2026 release. It’s likely the launch will occur in March 2026, potentially to boost the company’s financial year performance. The Flying Flea C6 will be produced at Royal Enfield’s dedicated EV manufacturing facility in Vallam Vadagal, Tamil Nadu.

The new plant has a planned annual capacity of approximately 150,000 units, though actual production will depend on market demand. The electric motorcycle is anticipated to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). This price point is significantly higher than current best-selling electric motorcycles in India, like those from Revolt Motors, which registered fewer than 10,000 units in 2024 despite costing roughly half as much.

The Vallam Vadagal facility’s production capacity is designed to be scalable and modular, allowing Royal Enfield to adjust output based on market needs. Following the launch of the roadster-style C6, the scrambler-style Flying Flea S6 is expected to follow in the subsequent months.

Regarding Royal Enfield’s relationship with Spanish electric mobility company Stark Future, Govindarajan clarified that the existing partnership is focused on collaboration, not a joint product launch. Royal Enfield’s €50 million investment in Stark Future provides access to expertise in light weighting, design modularity, and motor/battery controller technology. In return, Royal Enfield offers its knowledge in scaling production and supply chain management. Therefore, a Stark-branded electric motorcycle is not currently planned.
