The wait for Tata’s first coupe SUV, the Curvv, is almost over. Slated to make its global debut on August 7, 2024, the Curvv promises to shake up the mid-size SUV segment with its petrol, diesel, and EV variants.
Adding to the anticipation, fresh images of the Curvv in a striking Flame Red hue have surfaced. This vibrant color adds a sporty edge to the SUV’s already sleek design. The Curvv will be available in a total of six exterior colors, including Opera Blue, Cosmic Gold, Pristine White, Daytona Grey, and Pure Grey, all with dual-tone options.
The Curvv’s coupe-like silhouette is accentuated by its raked rear profile. Design highlights include modern elements like flush-fitting door handles, integrated twin rear spoiler, and 18-inch flower-patterned alloy wheels. The front fascia retains the signature Tata design with connected LED DRLs, split LED headlamps, and a chrome-studded split grille.
Inside, the Curvv is expected to be a technological marvel. A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a touch-based HVAC panel are likely to be standard features. Comfort and convenience are prioritized with ventilated front seats, a digital driver’s display, and a revised center console. Advanced features such as a powered driver seat, two-step recline for the rear row, 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, and a powered tailgate with gesture function are also on the cards.
Safety is paramount, and the Curvv is expected to achieve a five-star rating in BNCAP tests, aligning with Tata’s commitment to safety.
Under the hood, the Curvv will offer a choice of two petrol and one diesel engine. While the 1.5-litre diesel and 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engines are carried over from the Nexon, the new 1.2-litre TGDi will make its production debut with the Curvv. Both manual and automatic transmission options will be available.
With its striking design, feature-rich interior, and promising performance, the Tata Curvv is poised to make a significant impact in the Indian automotive market.
