Hero MotoCorp has successfully concluded the auction for its limited-edition Hero Centennial motorcycle. The bike, introduced to commemorate the 101st birth anniversary of Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, generated a total of Rs 8.6 crore.

The auction was open to Hero MotoCorp employees, associates, business partners, and stakeholders. The highest bid was Rs 20.30 lakh for the Centennial number CE100, making it the most expensive Hero motorcycle ever sold.

The Hero Centennial is a special edition model based on the Karizma XMR. Limited to only 100 units, 75 of which were sold through the auction. The remaining 25 units will be distributed through employee and customer contests.

While the Centennial shares its engine and chassis with the Karizma XMR, it boasts several upgrades. These include carbon fiber body panels, an Akrapovic exhaust, a hydroformed tube handlebar, a milled aluminum swingarm, 43mm upside-down forks with adjustable compression and rebound, and a fully-adjustable, gas-charged monoshock from Wilbers.

The proceeds from the auction will be allocated towards charitable initiatives, reflecting Hero MotoCorp’s commitment to social responsibility.
