Mahindra XUV 3XO

Homegrown automaker Mahindra and Mahindra has been steadily raising anticipation for the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO. This new offering is the much-awaited facelift of the popular XUV 300, promising a refreshed design, a feature-rich interior, and enhanced performance.

Fresh Interiors and Advanced Technology

The latest teaser offers a glimpse into the XUV 3XO’s cabin, showcasing a modern and sophisticated layout. It borrows design cues from its electric sibling, the XUV 400 EV, featuring a sleek free-standing 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a redesigned steering wheel. A fully digital instrument cluster, similar to the XUV 400 EV, adds to the premium feel.

Impressive Performance and Efficiency

The teaser also sheds light on the XUV 3XO’s performance and fuel efficiency. The digital instrument cluster reveals a claimed mileage of 20.1kmpl, while Mahindra boasts a 0-60 kph sprint time of just 4.5 seconds for a specific variant.

Segment-Leading Features and Safety

Mahindra equips the XUV 3XO with a plethora of first-in-segment features, including a panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control. Feature highlights include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, AdrenoX connected car tech, ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and automatic headlamps with rain-sensing wipers. Safety remains a priority with six airbags, all-four disc brakes, ISOFIX mounts, traction control, ESP, TPMS, parking sensors, and a 360-degree parking camera anticipated.

Engine Options and Debut Date

Under the hood, the XUV 3XO retains the familiar engine options from the XUV 300. These include a 1.5-litre turbo diesel (115 hp, 300 Nm), a 1.2-litre turbo petrol (110 hp, 200 Nm), and a sportier 1.2-litre turbo petrol variant (130 hp, 230 Nm) in the Turbosport trim. Transmission choices remain a 6-speed manual or an optional AMT automatic.

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is set for a global debut on April 29, 2024. It will take on established rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and the upcoming Skoda’s sub-4 meter SUV. With its refreshed design, feature-loaded cabin, and focus on performance and efficiency, the XUV 3XO is poised to make a strong impression in the compact SUV segment.
