Jeep Wrangler Facelift Launched in India: More Tech, Starting at Rs 67.65 Lakh

Jeep Wrangler

The iconic Jeep Wrangler has received a mid-cycle refresh for the 2024 model year, arriving in India with subtle design tweaks, a revamped cabin packed with new features, and retained off-road prowess. Offered in two variants – Unlimited and Rubicon – the facelifted Wrangler boasts over 100 pre-orders and deliveries are set to begin from mid-May 2024.

Price Bump for Enhanced Features

While the facelifted Wrangler retains its legendary off-road capability, it comes with a price increase of Rs 5 lakh compared to the previous model. The Unlimited variant starts at Rs 67.65 lakh (ex-showroom), up from Rs 62.65 lakh, while the Rubicon now starts at Rs 71.65 lakh (ex-showroom), previously priced at Rs 66.65 lakh.

Subtle Exterior Refinements

The exterior design changes are subtle yet purposeful. The signature seven-slat grille gets a redesign with a sleek black finish, while a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels adds a touch of freshness. The option for both soft-top and hard-top versions remains, catering to a wider audience.

Revamped Cabin with Tech Focus

The most significant changes lie within the cabin. The dashboard layout receives a complete makeover, featuring a larger and more prominent 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This new unit boasts wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, enhancing user convenience. The central AC vents are redesigned and repositioned to accommodate the bigger screen, offering a more streamlined look.

Comfort and Convenience Upgrades

Beyond the infotainment upgrade, the 2024 Wrangler boasts a plethora of new features. Drivers can now enjoy the convenience of wireless phone charging, while a 7-inch colored display in the instrument cluster provides essential information. Additionally, 12-way power-adjustable front seats and dual-zone climate control ensure a comfortable driving experience for both driver and passenger.

Safety First

Jeep prioritizes safety in the facelifted Wrangler. Six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and a reversing camera are standard features. The inclusion of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) further elevates safety standards on the new model.

Uncompromising Off-Road Capability

The heart of the Wrangler remains unchanged. The proven 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine continues to deliver 270 PS and 400 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The true off-road prowess lies in the 4×4 hardware, including multiple drive modes and locking differentials, making the Wrangler a true contender on any terrain.

A Compelling Choice for Off-Road Enthusiasts

With its refreshed design, tech-laden cabin, and unwavering off-road capability, the 2024 Jeep Wrangler offers a compelling proposition for adventure seekers in India. While the price increase might raise eyebrows, the Wrangler remains a more affordable option compared to other luxury off-roaders like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and Land Rover Defender.
