Mahindra XUV 3XO

Mahindra & Mahindra is launching the much-anticipated XUV 3XO in India today, April 29, 2024. This new model is essentially a facelifted version of the popular XUV 300, but with significant design and feature upgrades. Here’s a look at what to expect from the XUV 3XO, a strong contender in the competitive compact SUV segment.

Fresh Design Language

The XUV 3XO boasts a comprehensively revamped design compared to its predecessor. The teasers reveal a striking new front fascia with a redesigned grille, updated headlights with DRLs, and a connected LED taillight at the rear – a trending feature in the Indian car market. The SUV also gets a reworked tailgate, an integrated spoiler, high-mounted stop lamp, and stylish 16-inch alloy wheels.

Upscale and Tech-Packed Interior

Step inside the XUV 3XO and you’ll be greeted by a completely transformed cabin. The new dashboard layout, inspired by the XUV 400, features a prominent 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system alongside a fully-digital instrument cluster. The cabin is expected to offer new upholstery options, a segment-first panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and a premium 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Modern conveniences like wireless phone charging, automatic headlamps with wipers, and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity are also likely to be included.

Engine Options and Claimed Mileage

The XUV 3XO is expected to retain the current engine configuration, offering three choices: a 1.5-liter turbo diesel (115 hp, 300 Nm), a 1.2-liter turbo petrol (110 hp, 200 Nm), and a 1.2-liter turbo petrol Turbosport variant (130 hp, 230 Nm). Transmission options are likely to remain a 6-speed manual or an AMT automatic. Interestingly, Mahindra has revealed a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.1 kmpl for the XUV 3XO in a teaser.

Expected to be a Strong Competitor

With its refreshed design, feature-rich cabin, and efficient engines, the Mahindra XUV 3XO is poised to be a strong competitor in the compact SUV segment. Stay tuned for further updates on the official launch price and detailed specifications.
