Kia has officially confirmed the name of its upcoming compact SUV, the “Syros.” This clears up previous speculations, including the possibility of it being named “Clavis.”
The teaser video released by Kia offers a glimpse of the SUV’s bold, boxy design. It features a flat roofline, squarish wheel arches, and sharp cuts and creases. The rear profile is highlighted by distinctive L-shaped LED taillights and a flat tailgate. Up front, the SUV sports prominent L-shaped LED DRLs and large air intakes.
Inside, the Syros is expected to feature a modern, driver-focused cockpit with a two-spoke steering wheel and a twin-screen setup. Additional amenities may include advanced lighting technology, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, and smartphone connectivity.
While specific powertrain details are yet to be confirmed, it’s likely that the Syros will share engine and transmission options with the Sonet. This could include petrol and diesel engines, paired with manual or automatic transmissions.
The Kia Syros is anticipated to make its official debut in the coming months.
