Yamaha R15 and R15M Get New Color Options Overseas

Yamaha Motor Company has been witnessing tremendous demand for its mid-sized sportbikes, the R15 and R15M, in international markets. To further entice customers, the company has recently introduced new color options for both models.

The popular R15 is now available in Tech Black, Aggressive Grey, and Icon Blue. Meanwhile, the R15M has received an additional color option called Icon Performance. These fresh color schemes are expected to make their way to the Indian market as well, though an official announcement from Yamaha is still pending.

While the company has refrained from making any mechanical changes, the core of both models remains unchanged. They continue to be powered by a robust 155cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 18.14 bhp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm at 7,500 rpm.

In terms of design and features, the R15 and R15M remain cutting-edge. Both models boast an impressive LED headlight setup, complemented by sleek indicators at both ends. A decent-sized transparent visor at the front offers added protection, while the fully digital cluster provides essential information.

For braking and suspension, Yamaha has equipped both bikes with single-disc brakes at the front and rear, along with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The suspension setup includes an upside-down fork at the front and a shock observer sprint at the rear.

Other notable features of the R15 and R15M include a comfortable seat height of 815mm, a ground clearance of 170mm, and a kerb weight of 141kg. The bikes also offer a generous fuel tank capacity of 11 liters.

With these new color options, Yamaha aims to further strengthen the appeal of the R15 and R15M in the global market. As the Indian market eagerly awaits the arrival of these new color schemes, Yamaha fans can look forward to a fresh and exciting addition to the popular sportbike lineup.
