Volkswagen Launches Taigun GT Line and GT Plus Sport in India

Volkswagen India has launched the sporty Taigun GT Line and GT Plus Sport, priced starting at Rs. 14.08 lakh and Rs. 18.53 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. These new blacked-out special editions add a touch of aggression to the popular mid-size SUV.

Sporty Design Enhancements

Both the GT Line and GT Plus Sport variants boast a sporty aesthetic with blacked-out elements. The GT Plus features a contrasting carbon steel grey roof and red GT badging, while the GT Line goes for a full blacked-out look. They ride on stylish 17-inch black alloy wheels, with the GT Plus adding a pop of color with red brake calipers.

Premium Interiors with Distinctive Touches

The sporty theme continues inside the cabin with black leatherette upholstery. The GT Plus gets red stitching for a sportier feel, while the GT Line features contrasting grey stitching. The GT Plus boasts red GT logos and aluminum pedals, further enhancing the sporty ambiance. The Taigun GT Line comes equipped with a 1.0-liter TSI engine that delivers 114bhp and 178Nm of torque. The GT Plus packs a punchier 1.5-liter TSI engine churning out 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. Both variants get a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. For those seeking a smoother driving experience, the GT Line offers a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the GT Plus boasts a sophisticated 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
