The Toyota Land Cruiser Prado is set to make its Indian debut in the second half of 2025, according to Autocar India. This latest generation SUV was first unveiled globally last year and has been gradually making its way to other markets.
In some regions, the Land Cruiser Prado is also marketed as the Land Cruiser 250. It serves as Toyota’s flagship vehicle in North America and the UK. While India currently receives the Land Cruiser 300, the upcoming Prado is expected to be offered here instead, following the naming conventions of markets like Australia and the Middle East.
The new Land Cruiser Prado boasts a larger footprint than its predecessor, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm and overall dimensions of 4,920mm in length and 1,870mm in height. This increased size translates to a more spacious interior, which is equipped with modern technology and enhanced functionality. The SUV features large physical controls and shares many switchgear with the Land Cruiser 300. A wraparound digital display, an advanced infotainment system, luxurious leather upholstery, and multi-zone climate control are among the notable features.
With the introduction of the all-new Land Cruiser Prado, Toyota aims to strengthen its position against the Land Rover Defender, a formidable competitor in many global markets.
