Maruti Suzuki Launches Jimny Thunder: Adventure Redefined at ₹10.74 Lakh

In a much-anticipated move, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has unleashed the special edition Jimny, known as the Jimny Thunder Edition, in the domestic market. With a starting price of Rs. 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom), this edition is set to make waves, especially considering its limited-time pricing strategy.

The pricing structure is particularly enticing as it places the Thunder Edition well below the regular base variant of the lifestyle off-roader, which is priced at Rs. 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes the Thunder Edition an attractive option for enthusiasts and adventure seekers who are eyeing the iconic Jimny.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny Thunder Edition stands out with its distinctive cosmetic updates over the standard variant. It is available in both the entry-level Zeta and the higher-end Alpha grades. The Zeta AT is priced at Rs. 11.94 lakh, Alpha MT at Rs. 12.69 lakh, Alpha MT DT at Rs. 12.85 lakh, Alpha AT at Rs. 13.89 lakh, and the Alpha AT DT trims at Rs. 14.05 lakh (ex-showroom).

Externally, the Thunder Edition boasts new body graphics on the sides, depicting mountains, enhancing its rugged and adventurous appeal. Despite these cosmetic changes, the Thunder Edition retains the same performance as the standard variant. It is powered by the familiar 1.5L four-cylinder K15B mild-hybrid petrol engine, delivering a robust 105 hp and 134 Nm of peak torque. Buyers can choose between a five-speed manual transmission (MT) or a four-speed automatic transmission (AT).

The Zeta variant of the Thunder Edition comes loaded with features, including electrically adjustable ORVMs, front and rear wipers with washer, defogger, day and night IRVM, and driver-side power window auto up/down with pinch guard. Additional features include reclinable front seats, multifunctional steering wheel with mounted controls, TFT color display, front and rear seat adjustable headrest, front and rear welded tow hooks, steel wheels, drip rails, and a seven-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
