Kia has recently unveiled design sketches of its upcoming compact SUV, tentatively named the Syros or Clavis. This new model will be the first SUV from Kia 2.0 in the Indian market.
The Syros is designed to be a stylish and rugged SUV, with a boxy silhouette and sharp lines. It will feature LED headlights, a flat roof, and a prominent shoulder line. The rear end is equally distinctive, with vertically stacked L-shaped taillights and a large glasshouse area.
Inside, the Syros is expected to offer a range of advanced features, including a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a powered driver’s seat, and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). ADAS features may include autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
Under the hood, the Syros is likely to be powered by a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine. Both engines will be paired with manual and automatic transmission options. In the future, Kia may also introduce an electric version of the Syros.
