Kia India to Launch New-Generation Carnival in October

Kia Carnival

Kia India is set to make a significant comeback in the premium MPV segment with the launch of the all-new Carnival in October. This latest iteration of the popular people mover promises to be bigger, more luxurious, and packed with features compared to its predecessor.

The new Carnival is expected to be imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), similar to the limited availability of the EV6. This approach allows Kia to introduce the vehicle with a premium positioning and a unique offering in the Indian market.

In terms of size and space, the new Carnival is significantly larger than its previous generation. This translates to more legroom, headroom, and overall comfort for passengers. The interior is also expected to feature a more upscale design with premium materials and finishes.

Technology-wise, the Carnival will likely boast a larger digital instrument cluster and a new touchscreen infotainment system. Other features may include double sunroofs, multiple seating configurations, and a heads-up display. The top-end trims could even feature a captain seat layout for enhanced comfort and luxury.

Rear passengers can expect a range of features, including three-zone climate control, ventilated seats, and possibly some advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). While the global market offers a variety of engine options, the India-spec Carnival is likely to be initially powered by a diesel engine.

The Carnival’s niche positioning in the Indian market is evident, as it will sit between the Toyota Innova Hycross and the more expensive Toyota Vellfire. This unique offering will cater to those seeking a premium MPV experience without breaking the bank.

As the launch date approaches, we can expect more details about the new Kia Carnival to emerge. This highly anticipated vehicle is poised to make a strong impact in the Indian automotive landscape.
