Toyota Introduces “Glorious Edition” Camry in China

In an attempt to revitalize sales of the latest-generation Camry in China, Toyota has launched a special edition dubbed the “Glorious Edition.” This limited-run model boasts a distinctive appearance with a Matte Gray exterior, blacked-out accents, and a sporty body kit that includes a front splitter, rear diffuser, and a lip spoiler.

Inside, the Glorious Edition elevates the cabin experience with a blend of velvet and genuine leather upholstery, complemented by 64-color ambient lighting that illuminates the dashboard and door panels.

Technology features are abundant, including dual 12.3-inch digital displays, a head-up display, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium Dynaudio sound system. Notably, the “Boss Key” feature allows for easy rear-seat access by moving the front passenger seat forward.

Powering the Glorious Edition is a self-charging hybrid system comprising a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering a combined output of 194 horsepower.

While the “Glorious Edition” aims to inject excitement into the Camry lineup, the ninth-generation model has faced challenges in the competitive Chinese market, struggling to replicate the success of its predecessor.

This special edition is available for order in China with prices starting at 202,800 yuan ($27,800).
