Kia is set to reintroduce its popular Carnival MPV in India, this time in its fourth-generation avatar. The new model, which has already been unveiled globally, will be imported to India and will be available in a 7-seater configuration only.
A More SUV-Like Design
The 2024 Carnival boasts a bolder and more SUV-like design compared to its predecessor. The front fascia features a wider grille, LED headlights, and L-shaped DRLs, giving it a muscular appearance. Redesigned alloy wheels and body cladding add to the rugged look. The rear features connected LED tail lamps, in line with Kia’s modern design language.
Upmarket Interior with Modern Tech
The interior of the 2024 Carnival is luxurious and features high-quality materials. The theme varies based on the variant: the Limousine variant has a dark blue and grey scheme, while the Limousine Plus variant features a more premium brown and black theme.
Packed with Features
The Carnival comes loaded with features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a Bose sound system, a heads-up display, powered and ventilated seats, wireless charging, and three-zone climate control. Safety features include multiple airbags, ABS, all-wheel disc brakes, parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, and level-2 ADAS.
Powerful Diesel Engine
The India-spec Carnival will be powered by a 2.2-liter diesel engine that produces 193 PS and 441 Nm of torque. It will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
Expected Pricing and Rivals
Kia is expected to price the 2024 Carnival from Rs. 50 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. It will compete with the Toyota Innova Hycross and Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
