Hyundai Motor India Limited has achieved a remarkable feat with its new 2024 Hyundai Creta. Launched in January this year, the SUV has already crossed the 1 lakh unit sales milestone, a testament to its immense popularity in the Indian market. This translates to an impressive average of over 500 units sold per day in the past six months, or a staggering 15,000+ units sold every month.
A Winning Combination of Design, Features, and Performance
The 2024 Hyundai Creta has captured the hearts of Indian car buyers with its bold design, inspired by Hyundai’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ philosophy. The SUV’s striking exterior, combined with a feature-packed interior boasting a dual 10.25-inch display setup, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), has made it a compelling choice for SUV enthusiasts.
Powerful Performance Options
Under the hood, the Creta offers a range of engine options to cater to diverse driving preferences. A 1.5-liter diesel engine delivering 114 hp and 250 Nm torque, paired with either a manual or automatic transmission, is one of the choices. Additionally, buyers can opt for a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol unit generating 113 hp and 144 Nm torque, or a more powerful 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine producing 158 hp and 253 Nm torque. The latter comes with a DCT transmission, while the N Line variant offers both manual and DCT options.
A Strong Contender in a Competitive Segment
The Hyundai Creta faces stiff competition from rivals like the Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor. However, its early success suggests that the Creta has managed to carve a significant niche for itself. Hyundai is also gearing up to launch an electric version of the Creta in the coming months, further expanding its offerings in the growing electric vehicle segment.
Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, expressed his delight at the Creta’s achievement, stating, “We are thrilled with the remarkable achievement of the new Hyundai Creta 2024. Our SUV has achieved another milestone of one lakh sales, reaffirming its strong fan following in its segment. We are confident that the Hyundai Creta will continue to set new benchmarks in the Indian automobile industry and delight customers.”
With a strong foundation built on its initial success, the Hyundai Creta is poised to maintain its dominance in the SUV segment and potentially set new sales records in the future.
