Royal Enfield is set to unveil its much-anticipated Himalayan Rally at the upcoming EICMA 2024 motorcycle show in Milan. Ahead of its official debut, leaked images have surfaced, giving us a glimpse of this adventure-focused motorcycle.
Design and Features:
The Himalayan Rally is a more off-road-oriented version of the standard Himalayan 450. It features a host of upgrades, including a taller windscreen, a reinforced rear subframe, a flat seat, knuckle guards, a headlight grille, a larger sump guard, and tubeless spoked wheels. These modifications enhance its off-road capabilities and durability.
Engine and Performance:
The Himalayan Rally is powered by the same 450cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the standard Himalayan 450. This engine delivers 39.4 horsepower and 40 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
Competition and Launch:
The Himalayan Rally will compete with other adventure motorcycles in its class, including the KTM 390 Adventure, the Yezdi Adventure, and the BMW G 310 GS. While the specific launch date for the Himalayan Rally in India is yet to be confirmed, it is expected to arrive sometime in 2025.
With its rugged design, powerful engine, and off-road-focused features, the Himalayan Rally is poised to attract adventure enthusiasts and off-road riders alike.
