Brixton Motorcycles has made its mark in the Indian market with the launch of the Cromwell 1200, priced at Rs 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom). This modern classic motorcycle exudes timeless charm with its round LED headlight, muscular 6-liter fuel tank, sleek side panels, and a minimalist tail section.
Powering the Cromwell 1200 is a robust 1222cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder engine that delivers a healthy 82 bhp at 6,550 rpm and 108 Nm of torque at 3,100 rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, capable of propelling the bike to a top speed of 198 kmph, as claimed by Brixton.
The Cromwell 1200 is well-equipped with modern features like all-LED lighting, a TFT display for clear information, a convenient USB port, traction control for enhanced safety, cruise control for relaxed cruising, ABS for confident braking, and two ride modes (Eco and Sport) to adapt to various riding conditions.
The motorcycle’s chassis comprises a sturdy double downtube cradle frame, suspended by a 120mm travel KYB telescopic fork up front and preload-adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a comfortable and controlled ride. Braking duties are handled by powerful twin 310mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc, providing ample stopping power. The Cromwell 1200 rolls on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, adding to its classic appeal.
Brixton Motorcycles, an Austrian brand, has partnered with Kaw Veloce Motors in India to form MotoHaus, which will retail the Cromwell 1200 and other Brixton motorcycles in the Indian market. Deliveries for the Cromwell 1200 are expected to commence in January 2025.
