Hero Patents Design for Upcoming Scrambler 440

Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler

Hero MotoCorp is set to introduce a new scrambler motorcycle based on the popular Mavrick 440 platform. This upcoming model is expected to debut in 2025, adding to the growing segment of mid-capacity scramblers in India.

Mechanically, the new scrambler will share its powertrain with the Mavrick 440 and the Harley-Davidson X440. It will be equipped with the same 440 cc, single-cylinder, air-oil cooled engine that delivers a smooth and reliable performance, particularly in the low and mid-range. While Hero is likely to retain the engine’s 27 bhp/ 36 Nm output, some adjustments to the final drive might be made to optimize it for off-road riding.

In terms of design, the scrambler will retain the core elements of the standard Mavrick 440. However, it will feature a few key modifications to suit its off-road purpose. These include a small windscreen, a handlebar brace, and potentially increased suspension travel for better handling on rough terrain. Interestingly, the bike spotted in recent images features a conventional telescopic fork instead of the USD fork showcased at EICMA 2024.

The new Hero Mavrick 440 Scrambler is poised to compete with other popular scramblers in the market, such as the Yezdi Scrambler, the Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and the upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 440. With its combination of classic scrambler styling, capable engine, and off-road-oriented features, it is expected to attract a significant following among motorcycle enthusiasts.
