The new facelifted Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 has arrived in India. With attractive looks and powerful features, it starts at Rs 3.35 crore (ex-showroom). The Maybach receives some cosmetic updates to the exterior, including a new bumper and the Maybach logo on the air intake grille. LED taillights and Maybach-specific exhaust pipes complete the rear. Standard colors are Black, Polar White, and Metallic Silver, with a two-tone paint option available. The car comes with 22-inch wheels, with classic 23-inch Maybach wheels offered as well.
The interior receives a completely new design with fresh upholstery. However, the focus is more on software and equipment upgrades. The new steering wheel, redesigned air conditioning controls, latest MBUX software with new graphics enhance the driving experience. Additional features include a fingerprint sensor and hand gestures for control.
The rear seat offers ventilation and comfort functions, reclining up to 43.5 degrees for long-distance comfort. The car is equipped with a Burmester surround sound system, MBUX premium rear seat entertainment system, multi-beam LED headlights with high beam assist, 360-degree surround view cameras, heat and sound-insulated laminated security glass, a comfort package, fifth-generation parking assist, and an improved steering wheel.
Power and performance:
The GLS 600 uses a twin-turbo V8 engine with a 4.0-liter displacement, combined with an electric motor. This engine produces 557 HP of power and 770 Nm of torque. The integrated 48V starter motor adds an additional 22 HP and 250 Nm of torque. This powerful engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.
Mercedes claims the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. Adaptive dampers are standard equipment. To enhance its beauty, the GLS 600 features decorative strips on the rear apron, black chrome AMG dual exhaust outlets, and dark-tinted heat-insulating glass.
