The 2025 Tata Tigor has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 6 lakh. Following in the footsteps of its hatchback sibling, the Tiago, the Tigor receives a significant feature upgrade, encompassing new paint schemes and a host of enhancements across both petrol and CNG variants.
Design and Features:
Visually, the 2025 Tigor largely retains its familiar silhouette. However, top-spec variants now feature stylish 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the most notable addition is a larger 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, complemented by wireless phone mirroring capabilities. Other notable features include climate control, power-folding mirrors, an LED light package, a 360-degree camera, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and convenient USB-C charging ports.
Powertrain Options:
The 2025 Tigor continues to utilize the familiar 1.2-liter engine shared with the Tiago, delivering 84bhp and 113Nm of torque in petrol guise. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT. The CNG variant employs the same engine but produces 72bhp and 95Nm of torque, with transmission options mirroring the petrol version.
Competition:
The refreshed Tigor is well-equipped to compete fiercely in the highly competitive compact sedan segment. Key rivals include the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, and Renault Triber. Additionally, entry-level variants of the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Maruti Suzuki Dzire will also be vying for customer attention.
