Aprilia Tuono 457 India Launch Confirmed for February 2025

Aprilia Tuono 457

The highly anticipated Aprilia Tuono 457 is set to make its Indian debut in February 2025, with deliveries expected to commence in April. This exciting news follows the listing of the Tuono 457 on the official Indian Aprilia website. As the naked sibling of the acclaimed RS 457, which currently retails at Rs 4.10 lakh (ex-showroom), the Tuono 457 is expected to command a slightly more competitive price point, making it a compelling proposition in the mid-segment naked motorcycle market. It will directly rival popular models such as the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310 R, and Yamaha MT-03.

The Tuono 457 will be the second motorcycle to be built on Aprilia’s 457 platform, solidifying its commitment to this exciting engine platform. Powering the Tuono 457 will be the same robust 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that propels the RS 457. This engine, mated to a slick six-speed gearbox equipped with a bi-directional quickshifter, delivers a healthy 47.6 PS of power and 43.5 Nm of peak torque. While the Tuono 457 may feature slight variations in engine tuning, it is expected to retain a strong performance character. Given the RS 457’s impressive dry weight of 159 kg, the Tuono 457, with its expected lighter weight, promises to be an agile and exhilarating performer.

The Tuono 457 boasts a striking and aggressive design language, characterized by sculpted fuel tanks, extended tank shrouds, a compact headlamp unit, and eye-catching red accents strategically placed throughout the motorcycle. From the brake levers and chain set to the headlamp and fuel tank, the red accents add a touch of visual flair and enhance the bike’s overall sporty appeal. The Tuono 457 also features a neatly integrated underbelly exhaust and integrated grab rails for the pillion rider, contributing to a clean and cohesive rear end design.

Compared to the fully-faired RS 457, the Tuono 457 will offer a more relaxed and upright riding position, making it more suitable for both city commutes and spirited highway rides. Key features include a flat handlebar, a comfortable two-piece seat, a user-friendly 5-inch TFT instrument cluster, ride-by-wire throttle, multiple riding modes, full LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and traction control for enhanced safety and rider confidence.

The Tuono 457 will ride on 17-inch wheels, shod with grippy tires, and will be anchored by powerful disc brakes at both ends. Suspension duties will be handled by high-quality USD forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear, ensuring a balanced and composed ride.
