Mark Zuckerberg, known for his tech innovations at Meta, has taken a detour into the world of car customization. In a surprising move, the billionaire teamed up with West Coast Customs to create a bespoke Porsche Cayenne GT minivan for his wife, Priscilla Chan.
While the standard Cayenne offers ample space, Zuckerberg believed a minivan would provide even more room and practicality for their family. The project involved stretching the body and wheelbase of the Cayenne Coupe, adding sliding doors, and incorporating a larger rear spoiler. The resulting vehicle boasts a sleek, lowered stance and eye-catching black alloy wheels with yellow brake calipers.
Zuckerberg chose the high-performance Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT as the base for this unique minivan. The stock model features a powerful twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine, delivering impressive performance. While it’s unclear if any modifications were made to the engine, the Cayenne GT Minivan undoubtedly maintains its sporty character.
While Porsche hasn’t officially pursued a minivan concept, Zuckerberg’s custom creation reflects a growing trend in Asian markets. The popularity of luxurious minivans has led to increased interest from automakers, but it remains to be seen if Porsche would ever consider expanding its lineup in this direction.
Zuckerberg’s latest venture showcases his playful side and his willingness to experiment with unconventional projects. It also highlights the growing trend of personalized luxury vehicles, where individuals are seeking unique and exclusive customizations to suit their specific needs and tastes.
