Formula 1 and Mattel, Inc. have announced a new partnership that will bring the excitement of high-speed racing to miniature scale. The collaboration will see the creation of F1-themed Hot Wheels products, allowing fans of all ages to collect and play with their favorite racing teams.
The partnership will kick off this year with the release of a special edition Hot Wheels F1 car. This limited-edition die-cast model features a unique racing livery, interchangeable tires, and a full-metal body chassis. In 2025, the full Hot Wheels range will be released, including cars from various F1 teams and products designed for both young fans and adult collectors.
Beyond the toy cars, the partnership will also extend to real-world events. Hot Wheels will be present at select Formula 1 Grands Prix, offering fans the chance to participate in interactive activities and purchase exclusive merchandise.
Hot Wheels has a massive global following, with over eight billion cars sold in its half-century history. The brand’s popularity, combined with the growing appeal of Formula 1, makes this partnership a promising one for both companies.
Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1, expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that it would provide fans with a new way to engage with the sport. Roberto Stanichi, Executive Vice President of Hot Wheels, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the natural fit between the two brands and their shared passion for cars and racing.
