Earlier this year, BEL secured a Rs 1,155 crore contract to supply indigenous multi-function radars to Cochin Shipyard Limited. These radars are designed to enhance the protection of naval ships by detecting, acquiring, and tracking airborne targets.
BEL has also been awarded a Rs 305 crore contract for the supply of navigational complex systems, thermal imagers, communication equipment, and other essential components for ships.
In a separate development, BEL’s joint venture with Israel Aerospace Industries, BEL IAI AeroSystems Pvt Ltd., has received approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. This partnership will further strengthen BEL’s capabilities in the aerospace and defense sectors.
Financial Performance:
BEL’s financial performance has been equally impressive. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year, the company reported a 46.2% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 776 crore. Revenue also grew by 19.6% to Rs 4,199 crore.
These strong financial results have been well-received by investors, with the company’s stock price showing a significant increase over the past year. However, it’s important to note that the stock has recently experienced a slight decline.
