The event not only drew the creme-de-la-creme of the industry but also resulted in the Tamil Nadu government securing an impressive aggregate investment worth Rs 6.6 Lakhs crore over the two-day extravaganza.

Dinesh Arjun, the CEO and Co-founder of Raptee Energy, expressed the significance of this milestone, stating, “Our first-ever showcase at the TN GIM couldn’t have been at a more fitting event. The response to our motorcycles was electrifying! Being more than just a vehicle integrator, we’ve developed the entire stack in India, including our indigenous high-voltage powertrain. This not only delivers stunning torque and consistent top speed but also addresses the longstanding demand for reliable e-motorcycles.”

Raptee Motorcycles stand out with their high voltage powertrain, positioning them as the only two-wheelers compatible with the fast-expanding CCS2 public charging infrastructure. This technological marvel not only promises a thrilling riding experience with its high-voltage drivetrain but also establishes Raptee as a pioneer in addressing the demand for reliable electric motorcycles.

Consumer Excitement and Investor Interest

Jayapradeep Vasudevan, the CBO of Raptee Energy, expressed overwhelming delight at the positive response received during the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024. The booth witnessed a diverse footfall, spanning across all age groups, with particular enthusiasm from college students and bike enthusiasts. This positive reception from consumers fuels optimism that the interest garnered during the event will translate into substantial demand upon the product’s launch in April 2024.

Performance Metrics: Beyond the Hype

Raptee’s electric bike boasts an impressive claimed range of 150km on a full charge, coupled with a top speed of 135kmph. What sets this two-wheeler apart is its remarkable charging capabilities, allowing it to recharge from zero to 80 per cent in just 45 minutes or gain a range of 40km in a mere 15-minute charge. In terms of acceleration, it can zoom from zero to 60kmph in a mere 3.5 seconds.

Future-Ready Infrastructure: Raptee’s 4-Acre Plant in Chennai

Not just confined to groundbreaking products, Raptee has already established a robust 4-acre plant in Chennai, with a proposed investment of Rs 85 crore. This state-of-the-art facility houses an R&D center with the aim to produce up to 1 lakh units annually, positioning itself as the primary production hub for the next 24 months. The startup plans to employ 470 individuals for manufacturing and design departments, including a dedicated battery pack assembly line.
