A Florida-based customization shop, Reds Miami, has unveiled a truly unique creation: a Tesla Cybertruck dually. This one-of-a-kind vehicle made its debut at the recent SEMA show in Las Vegas, turning heads and sparking debates.
The conversion from a standard Cybertruck to a dually involved adding two extra wheels at the rear, resulting in a more imposing and rugged appearance. To accommodate the wider stance, the shop crafted custom fender flares that surprisingly complement the Cybertruck’s angular design.
The new wheels, measuring a massive 26 inches, are wrapped in 35-inch tires. These modifications, while visually striking, may have implications for the vehicle’s range and handling. The additional weight of the extra wheels and larger tires could potentially reduce the electric range.
To ensure that the Cybertruck’s rear-wheel steering system continues to function despite the modifications, the shop had to reroute the charging cable and make adjustments to the electrical system.
While the Cybertruck dually may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it undoubtedly showcases the potential for customization and the growing popularity of electric vehicles.
