Tata Curvv EV

Tata Motors has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the Curvv EV. This stylish coupe SUV comes with a price tag of ₹17.49 lakh to ₹21.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in five variants: Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished, and Empowered. The Curvv EV can be purchased through Tata’s digital showrooms or dedicated EV dealerships.

A Unique Design Statement

The Tata Curvv EV stands out with its distinctive coupe SUV design, a refreshing departure from the typical electric car silhouette. Featuring a connected LED DRL bar, LED headlamps, and squared-off wheel arches with 18-inch alloy wheels, the Curvv exudes a rugged yet stylish appeal. The sloping roofline and LED tail lamps further enhance its modern look. With a ground clearance of 190 mm and a water wading capacity of 450 mm, the Curvv is ready for both urban and off-road adventures.

Spacious and Feature-Rich Interior

The Curvv EV boasts a spacious cabin with a premium feel. A panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity, a 10.25-inch driver display, and a 320 W JBL sound system create a luxurious ambiance. The car also offers ample storage space, including a 500-liter boot that can be expanded to over 973 liters with the rear seats folded down. A frunk is also available as an option.

Safety and Performance

Safety is a priority with the Curvv EV, as it aims for a 5-star rating in the BNCAP crash tests. Equipped with level 2 ADAS, six airbags, a 360-degree parking camera, electronic stability program, electric parking brake, and front parking sensors, the car offers comprehensive protection.

The Curvv EV comes with two battery pack options: 45 kWh and 55 kWh. While the ARAI-claimed range is 502 km and 585 km, respectively, Tata Motors has introduced the C75 real-world range criterion to provide a more realistic estimate of 330-350 km for the 45 kWh variant and 400-425 km for the 55 kWh variant. The electric motor delivers 167 hp and accelerates the car from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.

Competition Heats Up

The Tata Curvv EV enters a competitive market, facing rivals like the MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400, and the recently updated BYD Atto 3. With its stylish design, feature-rich interior, and competitive pricing, the Curvv EV aims to carve a niche for itself in the growing electric SUV segment.
